Common Questions
SPaG stands for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. The KS2 SPaG SATS consists of two papers: Paper 1 (Grammar and Punctuation, 45 minutes) and Paper 2 (Spelling, 15 minutes).
SPaG Paper 1 tests grammar and punctuation. Questions cover word classes (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs), punctuation marks, sentence types, tenses, clauses and vocabulary. It is 45 minutes long.
SPaG Paper 2 is an audio-based spelling test. Words are read aloud in a sentence and students write the missing word. It is 15 minutes long and contains 20 words. SATBot's spelling practice replicates this format exactly.
