Year 6 Maths SATS cover two papers: Paper 1 Arithmetic (mental and written calculation) and Paper 2 Reasoning (problem-solving, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry and statistics).
Paper 1 Arithmetic is 30 minutes and Paper 2 Reasoning is 40 minutes. SATBot's Maths SATS practice papers use these same time limits so students practise under realistic exam conditions.
No — calculators are not permitted in either Maths SATS paper. Students are expected to use written methods and mental arithmetic throughout both papers.
